Reyna Red was created in 2005 by Leah Butler, as a collection of Art Deco inspired jewelry and soon expanded into Bridal hair accessories. By 2007, Reyna Red had a cult following for our pearl/crystal hair combs and pins, but began to get more and more requests for hair accessories for girls of all ages. Things that could be worn day to day, not just for special occasions.
And so in 2007, Reyna Red launched our pearl/crystal heart snap clips - designed for just the right amount of sparkle that works for any occasion. Since then, we've added our immensely popular Colorblock line (2010) that started with barrettes but has branched into headbands and ponytail holders as well; Kawaii, and Holiday lines of hair accessories as well as an expansion of our Bridal jewelry and hair accessories lines.
New for 2013 - look for personalized jewelry, bridal party gifts, an expansion of our Colorblock line, as well as the addition of other accessories.
About the Designer
Leah Butler discovered jewelry making at the tender age of 3 - with a foray into her mother's knitting basket and a few choice pilfered items from her brother, she created a masterpiece of yarn, broken up crayons, felt, qtips, beads, and a balloon focal. Her mother was rightly impressed and showed the masterpiece to everyone. Years passed, and Leah dabbled in crochet, metalsmithing, cold fabrication, beading, weaving, loom beading, etc honing her skills and learning new techniques through her school and college years. Now with over 30 years of experience, Leah uses multiple techniques to create her Reyna Red line.
Always searching for fun new things to learn, Leah has been taking metal casting classes for the last year, with the thought of adding one of a kind fine metal and gem jewelry items to the shop.
Leah lives in Omaha, NE in a big, hundred year old Craftsman house with her husband, Thor and her daughter, Thalia; and enjoys traveling, cooking, photography and spending time with family and friends.
